[1 Corinthians 14:14-15]So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.

All gifts operate in the realm of the human spirit. Gifts of the Spirit operate at will. You are gifted while in the spirit, the gift remains while not in the spirit. If you remain in the spirit you are powerful. Prayer in the spirit is cooperation with The Holy Spirit.

[Hebrews 7:25] Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Jesus is our advocate in heaven. The Holy Spirit is our advocate on earth.

[John 17:9] I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

[Roman 8:15-16] For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

[Galatians 4:6-7] Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

[Zachariah 12:10] "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son."

[Ephesians 6:18] And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

[Jude 20] But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

When you pray in the Spirit, the spirit of man is overcome by the Holy Spirit.

[Psalm 62:1] My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

To maintain power, pray everyday in the spirit. Only prayer in the spirit keeps demons away. When we pray in tongues we are praying in the spirit.
